A children's novel to learn to love books and literature.

On her twelfth birthday, Irene receives a very special gift: an old typewriter that belonged to her father. What seemed like a simple object full of memories becomes the gateway to a magical world where literature holds extraordinary power and anything can happen.

Through that wonderful machine, Irene travels to a universe where she must face the greatest challenge of all, her own imagination. Along the way, she will meet a charming bookseller, a Siamese cat, a private detective, and a stuttering boy who will join the adventure. Together they will discover the mysterious ink suckers and the enigmatic Hall of Forgotten Characters, a place where figures wait to be read again.

Irene, los chupatintas y la máquina maravillosa is a children's and youth novel about the love of books, creativity, and the power of stories. Ideal for readers who enjoy fantastic worlds, magical bookstores, and adventures that begin when a new page is opened.
