Minage (Picture Disc)
Minage is the record in which Mónica Naranjo approaches Mina’s world with respect and reinterpretation, bringing those melodies into her own vocal language, more dramatic and expansive. The result is an album of covers with its own identity, built on intense arrangements and a strongly marked emotional narrative, where each track is conceived as a scene.
Among its most recognizable tracks stand out “Sobreviviré,” turned into an anthem within her repertoire, “Ahora, Ahora” and “Amando Locamente,” which maintain the album’s most immediate pulse. Also shining are “Perra Enamorada” and “¡Qué Imposible!,” with that balance between power and vulnerability, and on the B side appear more atmospheric moments like “Inmensidad” and “Abismo,” along with “If You Leave Me Now.” The closing is reinforced with “Siempre Fuiste Mío” and “Mi Vida por un Hombre,” and with the added value of “Él Se Encuentra Entre Tú y Yo,” a duet with Mina.
This picture disc vinyl edition presents the album on a single LP with 12 songs, preserving the visual character associated with Minage and its iconography, between the dreamlike and the symbolic. It is a very direct way to return to a key title in her catalogue, focused on interpretation and the weight of each chorus, with a repertoire designed to be listened to from beginning to end.
