Pedro Zerolo: Vida y legado de un pionero por los derechos civiles
Pedro Zerolo narrates the life and legacy of one of the most influential and beloved activists in recent Spanish history.
Pedro Zerolo challenged the norms of his time, both as a politician and as a pioneer in the fight for LGTBIQ+ rights, equality, and social justice.
Through a journey through his life, his activism in defending civil rights, and his political commitment, this book reveals an extraordinary man who, with courage and passion, transformed the reality of thousands of people.
From the presidency of the Federación Estatal de Lesbianas, Gais, Transexuales, Bisexuales, Intersexuales y más (FELGTBI+), to his crucial role in the approval of marriage equality and his tireless defense of the most vulnerable groups, Pedro Zerolo left an indelible mark on Spain’s history, helping to create a more inclusive and just country: a better society in which, finally, there was room for everyone. This biographical account is a shared memory told firsthand by someone who accompanied him on his moving journey toward equality for more than twenty years, becoming an unparalleled testimony of his fight for equality, his progressive thinking, and his legacy as a defender of human and civil rights.
A must-read on the 20th anniversary of the approval of marriage equality.
