The Bigger Book of Breasts: Volume 2
Published following the success of The Big Book of Breasts (2006), The Bigger Book of Breasts expands and deepens the archive dedicated to the representation of natural breasts in 20th-century and contemporary photography. With 448 pages, the volume gathers new images of iconic models from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, along with a renewed approach that incorporates contextual information and detailed biographical profiles.
In addition to expanding the original visual material, this edition includes information about the personal and professional careers of each model, as well as references to their appearances in magazines, film, and photography, offering a more complete and documented reading of the cultural phenomenon surrounding these figures.
The book also includes a section dedicated to contemporary international models with natural breasts, photographed by the German Bernd Daktari Lorenz. Names like Nadine Jansen, Milena Velba, Luna Amor, Valory Irene, Miosotis Claribel, and Hitomi Tanaka extend the volume’s temporal scope, establishing a dialogue between different generations and cultural contexts.
With new photographs, a greater volume of content, and a more informative approach, The Bigger Book of Breasts is established as a natural expansion of the series and as a reference work within Taschen’s catalog dedicated to body photography.
