Lo que nunca supe de ti
When Analía receives a message addressed to her brother Roberto, she doesn’t imagine it will be the beginning of an intimate and uncomfortable search. She knows very little about his life and, after more than twenty years of silence, she is pushed to roam the city and reconnect with the affections and bonds he chose, and that his family decided to ignore.
A young personal trainer, a former lover, a friend with children, and other names erased from the official story complete the map of a life that, although hidden, left deep marks on those who touched it. With each encounter, Analía tries to reconstruct Roberto and, in the process, also dismantles the story she has told herself, made of prejudices, wounds, and external mandates.
Lo que nunca supe de ti, by Ayrton Zazo, is a novel about identity and about how we choose to remember, or silence, those who were part of our lives. An emotional puzzle where absence takes the place of what was carefully denied, with a prologue by journalist Lucas “Fauno” Gutiérrez.
